Could it be MTV and 2003 all over again?  Britney Spears is again sporting a ‘Star of David’ around her neck.  Could this be a first step for Britney to make up with her one-time mentor Madonna?  Is this the influence of new boy toy Isaac Cohen?

Us Weekly sees it this way: Spears, 25, who was raised Southern Baptist, wore Christian crosses on a regular basis before Madonna turned her on to Kabbalah in 2003.

The weekly entertainment magazine reports that the pop singer began studying the mystical offshoot of Judaism and started wearing the religion’s famed red string bracelet designed to ward off the “evil eye.” Then, in May 2006, she announced that she was giving up Kabbalah, saying “my baby is my religion.”

But Spears’ neck found a new faith Monday night when she showed off her new Star of David necklace when she and Cohen, 25, were on their way home from the Chateau Marmont.

Is this for Isaac - or is it the first step back to Kabbalah and will it help bring Madge back?  While Britney has traded in the crucifixes and red strings for the Star of David, she needs a career boost and madge may be just the woman to guide her.  Can Madonna and britney kiss and make up and revive a dormant career?
