Britney Spears has found a surprising new friend as she struggles in rehab from her recent spate of troubles: recovering cocaine addict Daniel Baldwin.

According to Hollywood.com Daniel Baldwin, who is currently awaiting a court case relating to charges of stealing a vehicle, went to the Promises rehab centre in Malibu to talk to her.

The pair swapped phone numbers, as he urged Britney to contact him if she needed to talk about her problems.

Speaking to the American TV show ‘Extra’, Baldwin has since said that Britney seemed "a little fearful about her situation."
