It’s official, Britney Spears has shaved her head. This surprising turn of events happened last night in Tarzana, California at Ester’s Hair Salon.

In an interview with US Weekly, Esther Tognozzi, the owner of the salon, said that Britney was complaining that her hair extensions were too tight and that they were extremely uncomfortable. A seemingly unstable Britney had tears in her eyes when she saw her newly shaved head.

The pop princess was so adamant about the new hairstyle that even after Tognozzi refused to perform the haircut, she started doing it herself.

This news comes hot on the heels of recent headlines about her stint in rehab. Reportedly, earlier this week, Spears checked into Eric Claptan’s Crossroads rehab center in Antigua, only to leave the center less than 24 hours later.

According to US Weekly, Spears then returned to L.A on Friday on an American Airlines flight from Miami; she reportedly sat in coach with the rest of the passengers.

The mother of two then headed out from her Malibu home to get the infamous new ‘do. But her evening didn’t end there.

At about 8:30 p.m. Britney showed up without an appointment at the Body & Soul Tattoo parlor in Sherman Oaks and proceeded to get a black, white, and pink cross on her lower hip and a pair of red and pink lips on her right wrist.

It appears Brit may be headed for a nervous breakdown. US Weekly claims Britney stated, "I don’t want anyone touching me. I’m tired of everyone touching me," when asked why she shaved her head.
