Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have been cast together in a romantic comedy (yet untitled) to be directed by Imtiaz Ali, who made ‘Socha Na Tha’ with Abhay Deol and Ayesha Takia two years ago. Ali starts shooting in March.

Their jodi failed to evoke any chemistry in ‘Fida’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’ and ‘36 China Town’. They have also starred in Boney Kapoor’s ‘Milenge Milenge’, which is ready but not seeing the light of day. Kareena had a choice between Ajay Devgan’s comedy film titled ‘Sunday’ directed by Rohit Shetty and Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy. Both makers wanted the same dates. She opted for Ali’s film. No prizes for guessing why; the presence of her boyfriend, what else!
